Keep It Relevant to Buying, Selling & Operating Businesses
Keep posts relevant to business acquisitions, exits, ownership, operations, valuation, due diligence, financing, deal structuring, search, succession, or related topics. Adjacent subjects are welcome when they provide practical value to buyers, sellers, operators, advisors, or acquisition entrepreneurs.
Bring Value, Not Just Promotion
Sharing your business, service, listing, tool, resource, event, newsletter, or content is welcome when it is relevant and useful to the community. Add context: explain what it is, who it helps, and why it matters. Repetitive promotion, link dumping, mass solicitation, affiliate spam, or posts whose only purpose is driving traffic may be removed.
Deal Discussions Are Welcome — Protect Confidential Information
Share deals, opportunities, numbers, structures, lessons, and questions when you have the right to do so. Do not publish confidential information, private deal documents, personal information, proprietary materials, or details covered by an NDA. When discussing a live transaction, anonymize sensitive information when appropriate.
Challenge the Deal, Not the Person
Different opinions make deal discussions better. Challenge assumptions, valuations, financing structures, strategies, and conclusions freely—but keep disagreements focused on the issue. Personal attacks, harassment, threats, discrimination, or deliberately disruptive behavior are not acceptable.
Be Clear About Your Role & Interests
When relevant to a post or recommendation, identify whether you are participating as a buyer, seller, broker, lender, advisor, service provider, investor, affiliate, or other interested party. If you may financially benefit from a recommendation, referral, listing, or link, disclose that relationship.
No Fake Deals, Misrepresentation or Misleading Claims
Do not knowingly post fabricated opportunities, impersonate another person or company, misrepresent your authority to sell or represent a business, or make materially misleading claims about revenue, earnings, valuation, financing, returns, credentials, or deal terms. Members are responsible for conducting their own diligence.
Respect Privacy, Copyright & Ownership
Share only material you have the right to share. Respect other members’ privacy, intellectual property, trademarks, copyrighted material, and original work. Do not copy private group discussions, member information, deal materials, or proprietary content for redistribution without permission.
